Young Players Are the Future of a Team

In season 112, my team moved up from level 6 to level 5 for the first time. Three young players did very well during the season. They will make an “Improvement Jump” by the end of the season. An Improvement Jump means their abilities improve a lot all at once. This is because they are young enough (under 27), have enough potential (higher than 5), and played well all season.

I can choose which skills to improve, and I decided to improve their offensive awareness and passing, because we decided to play team basketball.

We have a talented player. He is our center, young and with high potential (10, the highest in this game). His potential in offensive awareness and passing is even better.

These are the skills after the “improvement jump"

Our power forward played terribly this season. He is only good at mid-range shots on offense. He has terrible inside scoring and three-point skills. This means he can’t attack independently, because the defender knows he can only shoot mid-range and doesn’t need to change his defensive approach. But when our center has high passing ability, maybe our PF can shoot more easily. The center stays inside and the power forward opens up space.

Our shooting guard is another player who will make an “improvement jump” this season. As a shooting guard, he is good at mid-range shots and three-pointers. He will improve his passing and offensive awareness and become a point guard. These are the skills after his “improvement jump"

He will work with a center who has good passing next season.

The third player who will make an “improvement jump” is a point guard. Maybe he will improve his one-on-one skills, speed, jumping, shooting, and dribbling. These are the skills after his “improvement jump"

He will lead the offense as a substitute player.

The players are not fully developed. They have potential and need training. We can’t keep the same tactics for both starters and substitutes. So maybe we need to find more young talents on the market.
